THE FRESNO CHAPTER
|The Fresno Chapter of Montana Walleyes Unlimited sponsors a fishing tournament
every year in June. The "Fresno Challenge" is the first stop of the year for the Walleyes
Unlimited of Montana tournament circuit. Hundreds of fishermen from around the
country participate in the two-day tournament.
The Fresno Chapter also sponsors the annual "Youth Challenge", a fishing tournament
for kids, and the annual "Kids Day" as part of its education and safety program.
The Fresno Chapter also built and maintains 14 boat slips, a courtesy dock for visitors,
the loading dock at the main boat ramp and another loading dock at Kremlin Bay.
A generous land donation by the H. Goggins Family made possible the construction
of the pavilion and camping facility located above the main beach on the
southeast corner of the lake. Built by the Fresno Chapter of Montana Walleyes Unlimited
and the Railroad Pagers Association, the facilities are free and open to the public.
